The Scorpion encouraged his new friends to visit a nearby Temple to seek answers in their quest.  
Greeting the Covenant of Ramiel at the shrine were two komainu guardians, that growled until they caught sight of The Priestess, The Oracle, and The Hart.  Upon this recognition, the creatures jumped and shifted into two kuro maneki neko, that then leaped directly before the Jewel Priest, and with one cat call they began to speak in turn.  They told the troupe that what they sought was beyond this gate and place, that they would need to seek a path beyond what is seen.  They offered their own expertise and auspicious fortunate charm, promising The Jewel Priest and Priestess that they would never leave their sides.  They spoke of a warrior that knew the path well, and wished to lead the troupe to them next.

The most ancient storyteller, the minstrel is a well known angel guardian that has long guarded the secrets of the ancients and the wonder of children.  Once placed as sentinel in every temple, this twin spirit has seen all, and has gained much wisdom from their station.  One day the minstrel grew weary of their quiet place guarding and watching the suffering pleas of the downtrodden souls.  That day, the minstrel chose to instead bring fortune to those they felt worthy, taking an active role in inspiring and bringing good tidings through their charm.  When the Minstrel is guardian, they are represented as Komainu (Lion-Dog,) this is their divine form; but, when the Minstrel is active in their fallen form, they are seen as Kuro Maneki Neko (The Black Cat.)  The Minstrel joined the Covenant of Ramiel during the quest for The Compass, promising to never leave the sides of The Priestess and Priest, giving them both powerful protection and supreme fortune.  The greatest skill of this spirited creature is their charm.  No beast is more beguiling, agile, and graceful.

"The Manticore" by depingo

The Covenant of Ramiel first encountered this massive beast in their manticore form guarding the passage between the time of life and death, the first obstacle for the Voyager Tooth.  The mighty manticore was fiery red with flamed mane, razor sharp teeth lined his smile, the beast's tail was that of a vicious scorpion, and upon its back was tattooed dove wings with golden tips.  The cunning Captain of Whirligig was wary to approach the devil beast.  Upon standing before the monstrous creature, the Captain Voyager was stunned to watch as the beast changed shape into a scorpion man, and then into a red-haired, pale skinned angel, bearing a fanged smile, with black wings upon their back.  The Scorpion introduced themselves as such, and told the Voyager that they had been eagerly awaiting their arrival, as they wished to join the Covenant of Ramiel on their journey.  The Scorpion hoped to aid in the passage and retrieval of the lost soul, their dear friend.

The Scorpion is represented as a fallen angel by their namesake, and their light symbol is the symbol of hope, the dove as representation of their former angelic glory as the mighty Peng, an enormous white bird that would eclipse the sky with rainbow clouds.  Their weapon is the ability to summon thunderous sounds, a gift to them by Thor. Whether they trumpet their mighty manticore roar or play their booming axe (bass), they have the power to shake the earth and sky.  Fearless with the power to shift shape, they easily rise above the stars.  Their strong ability to keep balance between dark and light, allows them to stand guard between the conscious and unconscious realms.  They take great pride in their adept abilities, and harbor great occult knowledge and skill of the arcane to enable them to always have the highest advantage.

The Voyager, a vampiric admiral of great acclaim, brilliantly cunning with his literary wisdom this muse has the ability to waive any circumstance to their favor.  The Voyager's most praised gift is of the ability to cartograph upon whim the destined life path of their choosing.  On every ninth moon they may create a new dawn.  As a skilled cartographer, the Voyager is invaluable to Ramiel's great design.  The Voyager keeps an enchanted shark's tooth with him, that is his amulet for strength and power over the water.  The tooth is his angelic light symbol of agility and grace.  As a fallen creature, he wears about his neck a vial of blood to remind him of his life saving victims.  It is his remorse that leads him to save those lost at sea.  Upon one of his journeys he came across the Seer, saving them from certain burial among the deep waters.  Together as Cartographer and Compass they are an unstoppable force.  The Admiral Voyager (The Cartographer) and the Seer Buccaneer(The Compass) gladly joined Ramiel's troupe on the first most crucial quest as nobles of time.

Voyager, The Premier Theme of S-L-U

Salutations,

We have a bit of news for you.  

S-L-U has plotted and planned our first venture; 

and in so doing, we have created the theme of our first story.  

The first theme is that of travel, voyagers out to discover and forge their own path.  S-L-U is on a secret mission to change something that has been, permanently altering the course of what is now.  It is a dangerous mission, and all consequences have been adjusted for.  Ramiel has ordained it a worthy fight, and 

S-L-U is busy preparing for the journey.  Each member of S-L-U has a part to play, from the seeking to discover lost truths, searching out lost souls, to underhanded espionage, stealthy schemes, and beguiling enchantments.  What is to follow will change the course of all that is to come.
